Just a quick snapshot of the HAAS with a pair of machine vices on the bed. This is a nice trick when a long part needs to be clamped down for facing. Note, the 123 blocks (with a 1/4" parallel bar laid on it's side which you can't see in the pic) between the vices provide a flat surface to reference against. With the top surface of the part proud of the vices the whole top surface can be faced in one pass.
